Sony’s video game publishing arm is scrambling today, amid talk of a possible lawsuit from actress Ellen Page. The controversy surrounds nude images of the Canadian-born actress that have been captured by some gamers with a special version of the game Beyond: Two Souls.
Gaming websites started circulating the lewd pictures and once Page became aware of the situation, she threatened to sue Sony, who then went after the sites posting the images.
The game, which was released for the Playstation 3 on October 8th, features Page’s voice and likeness. Motion captures were done of her body, but it is unclear why programmers decided to render realistic nude features for her body, as those features were never intended to be included in the actual game.
